Thé Noir 29 is black tea rendered as perfume — smoky, leafy and quietly sophisticated, composed by Frank Voelkl.
Bergamot, fig and bay leaves open fresh and green before cedarwood, vetiver and musk bring depth. The black tea leaf in the base is the point: dry, tannic and faintly smoky, it lingers long after everything else has faded. Understated and beautifully made.
